For those who just want to skip the story and just get to the recipe, here are a few “recommended ingredients” for a train adventure:

What to Pack for a Cross-Country Train

  • Flip Flops/shower shoes

  • Warm pajamas & comfortable day clothes

  • Breathable face mask(s)

  • Snacks – pastries, cup noodles, fruit, etc.

  • Drinks – a favorite tea, soft drinks, etc. (the room comes with 2 bottled waters)

  • Toiletries in a hang-able container

  • Small hand towel, bandana, shawl.

  • Wi-Fi hotspot (or plan to go without)

  • Portable USB battery charger

  • Ear phones & ear plugs

  • Audiobooks & downloaded movies, off-lined playlists

  • Books, journal, cards, sketchbook, or other forms of non-electronic entertainment

  • Decor - lightweight art pieces, things that can hang, battery-powered lamp, air freshener.
